Ms. Amy Savage Henry was born on April 2, 1934 to the late James and Eva Savage in Jackson County. She departed this life on May 9, 2022 at Cumberland Health and Rehab in Bridgeport, AL. She was united in marriage to Thomas Edward Henry to which they had five loving sons. Amy confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and became a member of Wesley Chapel U.M.C., Cedar Grove, AL. While at Wesley Chapel, Amy became the church treasurer and also held several other positions in the church until her health failed. Her favorite past time was cooking for her family and the community.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Eva Savage; siblings, Joe, Charles, Robert Jack, Arthur, Essie Mae, Beulah, and Clara.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, Jerry (Deborah), Robert Lee (Shelia), of Stevenson, AL, Kenneth (Josalyn), of Huntsville, AL, Douglas (Deborah) of Scottsboro, AL, and Rudy (Rosia) of Hollywood, AL. Her loving grandchildren, Stephanie, Jamar, Stafford, Amber, Thomas, Douglas, Jr., Victoria, Bryanna, and Kellie and 15 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, a special cousin, Victor Boddie and friends, Sharma Wordlaw and Ann Hutchins.

Visitation will be Sunday from 12:30-1:30 and the funeral service will be 1:30 Sunday May 15, 2022 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson. Burial will be in the Cross Cemetery in Cedar Grove, AL.
