Services for Rita Mae Richardson, 95, Lawrence, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Monticello United Methodist Church, Shawnee. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Richardson died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, in Lawrence.

She was born Feb. 15, 1903, in Lebo, the daughter of Charles and Martha Ellen Harbour Peres. She moved to Lawrence in 1990 from Shawnee.

She was a member of Monticello United Methodist Church, its 3M club and United Methodist Women's Club; Farmer's Grange, DeSoto; and Kansas City, Mo., chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, of which she was past president.

She married George L. Richardson on Feb. 16, 1922, in Dawson, Neb. He died Jan. 14, 1977.

Survivors include a son, Clarence A. Richardson, Cold Springs, Tex.; a daughter, Mildred Foree, Lawrence; two sisters, Opal Stults and Hazel Yetzbacher, both of Iola; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
