STERLING - Mrs. Sigfrid (Vina) Nelson, 58, of 202 15th Ave., Sterling, died Thursday evening at Rockford Memorial Hospital.

The former Vina Davis was born Aug. 5, 1919 in Phillips, Wis., and married Sigfrid Nelson on Jan. 30, 1969.

He survives with four daughters, Mrs. Harold (Donna) Portner and Mrs. William (Janet) Heintz, both of Rockford, Mrs. William (Pat) Larson, Lafayette, Calif., and Mrs. Alfred (Alice) Anderson, Rock Falls; a son, Fred Rogalski, Rockford; a step-daughter, Mrs. David (Anita) Niehuse, Elgin; two brothers, Charles Davis, Ramona, Okla., and Bernard Davis, Hanover Park; a sister, Genevera May, Rockford; 16 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Allen Funeral Home, Sterling, where friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. Rev. Herman King, pastor of Lincolnwood Baptist Church of Rockford will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Sterling.
