DEATH OF AN OLD CITIZEN.
John Smith, one of the first settlers in the county, died at his home in Buckhorn Prairie, last Monday night at the advanced age of 86 years. He was stricken with paralysis Friday night, and was found in bed Saturday morning unable to speak, and utterly helpless. He was buried yesterday, Wednesday, at Lewis graveyard. He had lived on what is now Buckhorn Prairie for 51 years. His wife died about four years ago.
