MAXINE'S OBITUARY
Maxine H. Hicks, 93, Tuscaloosa, AL, passed away on April 29, 2022 at home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Donald Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gene Hicks; parents, C.P. and Cora Hubbard; and brothers, Bonham Hubbard and Lewis Hubbard.
Survivors include her daughters, Connie Hicks Massengale, Sandy Hicks Reid, and Kathy Hicks Wheat; son, Robert Gene Hicks, Jr.; 8 grandchildren; and 16 great granchildren.
Maxine was a homemaker and a secretary for her husband's home repair business.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Ryan Massengale, Thomas Hicks, Jimmy Hicks, Joseph Wheat, Charlie Wheat, and Brian Wheat.
Honorary pallbearers are her caring neighbor, Steve Bartlette; and her sitter and friend, Bertie Davis-Rhone.
