Funeral services for Mr. Meek Shulley, "Mickey" Livingston, 73, will be held at Rose Neath Southside Funeral Home Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Haughton the Rev. H. Melton Prothro. Visitation will be Wednesday December 27,
2006 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mickey went home to be with his
Lord Sunday, December 24, 2006, surrounded by those he loved and cherished. His fervor for prison ministry will be forever embedded in our hearts.
Mr. Livingston availed himself as jail chaplain in Mississippi and ministered in vanous jails and prisons in both Louisiana and Mississippi. Additionally he was on the board of directors for the former Fellowship Mission of Shreveport. Mickey also served in the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission. Indeed he introduced many souls to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
He also served in the U.S. Army asa crypto operator with a top secret clearance. Mickey was also a merchant Marine Sea Captain with Masters license for 31 years.
Mickey was preceded in death by
his parents, Evelyn H, and Meek S. Livingston Sr. daughter Rachael Anice Livingston and thirteen brothers sisters including M.S. Livingston JR.
Survivors include his wife. Linda S. Livingston; son, Michael R. Livingston and wife, Pam; daughter, Meschell L. White and husband, Kevin; fivegrandchildren and one great grandchild sisters, Warren Livingston and Patricia Bright , and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Livingston, Allen Livingston, Randy Yount, Wayne Ham JR,
Chris Livingston, Daniel Livingston, David A. Ham , and Mike Bordelon.
Honorary pallbearers are Ray McAnn, Steve Shoop, Fred DeLaune, Tommy Livingston,
and Chad Yount.
