Will McPeak, 80, of Idabel passed away Friday, January 4, 2008 at Texarkana, Texas. He was born in Red River County Texas on April 23, 1927, the son of William and Elizabeth Holloway McPeak.

Will was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and retired from Red River Army Depot after 33 years of service. After retiring he went to work at Idabel Florist delivering flowers and he truly enjoyed visiting with the people he met. He was an active member of the Central Baptist Church in Idabel since moving here in 1969 from Avery, Texas. Will loved to fish and raise a big garden every year.

Will never met a stranger and his ability to meet and befriend people will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lowery Warren, Olen McPeak, Otis McPeak, Kermit McPeak: sister, Bertie Megason and an infant sister.

Will is survived by his wife, Juanita McPeak, of Idabel; children, Richard and Marilyn McPeak of Haworth, Dean and Shirley McPeak of Brashear, TX, James and Sandy Williams of Richmond, TX, Sue and Jerry Cooper of Idabel, Rhonda and Coy Vaught of Valliant; sisters and brother-in-law, Bea Wooley of Sedalia, MO, Linnie and Sam Cline of Mesquite, TX, and Faye Stires of Avery, TX; a special brother at heart, Medford Williams of the Oak Hill Community; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many many friends.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2008 at the Central Baptist Church in Idabel. Interment will follow in Denison Cemetery with Bro. Doug Clements officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2008 at the funeral home.
