Robert "Bob" V. Bell, 79, Chillicothe, MO, passed away on April 30, 2022. at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, MO. He previously lived in Hamilton, MO.

Bob was born on December 25, 1942, in Carrollton, MO, to William and Mable (Ogan) Bell Laycock. He earned his Associate of Arts Degree in Horticulture in Olympia, WA. He honorably served his country in the Marines for 6 years and had served in the embassy in Ethiopia. Bob worked as a supervisor for the Department of Transportation for the state of Washington, and he was also a devoted minister for 50 years for The Church of Christ serving in Chillicothe and Hamilton.

Preceding Bob in death were his parents, a brother and two sisters.

He met his wife, Jean Staggs, in Ethiopia and they were married there on January 15, 1963. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors: daughter-Nancy (Rob) Quick, Portland, OR; son-Noland (Jennifer) Bell, Portland; 2 grandchildren-Carolyn and Mason Quick; and sister-Kay (Carl) Roscoe, Kansas City, MO.

Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

Services and Inurnment are pending.
