Burrill was the son of Albert Kelsay and Sarah Jane Eastes. He was married twice, first to Laura Gertrude Dicks on 10 Oct. 1908 in Grant County,Indiana. The marriage ended in divorce. Burrill married a second time to Emma Clarice Myers. He had a daughter and a son, Lora and Jessie Kelsay that may have been stepchildren from his second marriage. He worked as a stone cutter.

It is so sad that his Obit says he had no known relatives when he did have at least a brother and a sister living when he died.
