Paul was the son of Albert William and Sarah Jane Eastes Kelsay. Paul and Genevieve Margaret Packard were united in marriage on November 3, 1909, in Leavenworth, Kansas. They were the parents of three children: Ruth, Margaret and Paul Jr.

Paul Kelsay, Sr., age 87, passed away on Monday, January 8, 1968, at his home in Kansas City. His family residence was at Oak Street. Paul was born in Marion, Indiana, and had lived in the Kansas City area for 62 years. He worked as a barber and retired in 1960.

Mr. Kelsay was preceded in death by his parents and young daughter, Margaret. He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Genevieve Margaret Packard Kelsay, and his son, Paul Kelsay Jr., both of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Miller, of 5825 Charlotte in Kansas City and two grandchildren.

The Rosary and visitation were held at the Butler Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kansas. The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church followed by interment a Mount Olivet Cemetery in Raytown.
