He was retired from the Louisville Gas & Electric Company and in retirement was a volunteer Outrider at the Kentucky Derby Museum. Ralph was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Harry, and Mary Lou Ashton; his wife, Dixie; his daughter, Sharon; his brothers Jim, Thomas, Paul, and Virgil, and his sisters Mary and Virginia.
Ralph is survived by his daughter; Yolonda "Lynn" Ashton and two granddaughters, Amanda Hess, and Julie Ashton.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2022, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m.
