Wife of Jacob Garrett.
Her husband was an early political leader of the Texas Colony and of Texas Independence.
Two of their children's homes still stand in SanAugustine Co. Both off the old Spanish Highway 21.
The William Garrett House.
The Milton Garrett House.
Have looked for and tried to find her grave and marker.
Her daughter, my great, great grandma Laurena Garrett Crouch Curl is buried in the Lower Chireno Cemetery. Her marker was of stones and "lost to time" until my Aunt Maurine McKinney bought a new marker and had it erected in the 1960's.
Charity Taylor Garretts marker could have had a similar fate?
