A Madison Co. native, Mrs. Bailey was the daughter of the late Clifford and Bertha Crawford Sprinkles. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ezra Bailey, who died in 1981; and brother, Glenn Sprinkles.
Mrs. Bailey retired from American Enka Corp. after 33 years as a machine operator. She then worked for several years as a crossing guard for Oakley Elementary School. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by four daughters, Ethel Herron and husband Harley, Beulah Ellis, Faye Heatherly and husband Clyde, and Clara Bailey; four sons, Floyd Bailey and wife Sue, Ray Bailey and wife Jane, Glenn Bailey and Patty, and Robert Bailey and wife Shirley; four sisters, Ada Olson, Beulah Hamlin and husband Vernon, Evelyn McCoy, and Joanne Butler and husband Charlie; three brothers, Harvey Sprinkles and wife Martha, George Spinkles and wife Martha, and Nelson Sprinkles; 39 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Interment will take place at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.
