Alexander "Mont" Jones, 92, of Leicester, died Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at his residence.
Mr. Jones was born in Buncombe Co. and was a son of the late B. Franklyn and Vianna Waltroup Jones. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Conrad Jones, who died in October of this year, three brothers, Wayne, Charlie, and Paul Jones; and one sister, Blanche Jones.
Mr. Jones loved farming, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Carpenters Union for over 50 years. He was a member of Bell United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be at Bell United Methodist Church Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
