Carolyn A. Tanner Argo died at her residence in Cartersville, Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004. She was born in Polk County on June 10, 1946, the daughter of Rev. Elton and Ruby L. Lee Tanner. She was of the Baptist Faith and at the time of her illness she was employed by the Cash Stores. She was preceded in death by her parents and her only sister, Ms. Joyce Gunter. Ms. Argo is survived by: her daughter, Pamela "Bobby" Cooper; two grandsons; a brother, Edward Tanner of Villa Rica; two step grandchildren; one great step grandchild; a niece and several nephews. Funeral services were held in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 19, 2004. The Rev. Johnny Hightower presided and Evelyn Haskins provided the music. Interment followed in the Northview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Harold Tanner, Dual Shaw, Richard Johnson, Gary King, Charles Johnson and Gary Stroup. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 1483 W. Hwy. 78, Villa Rica, Ga., 30180 or to Countryside Hospice, 104 E.
