Norma was the youngest child born to Herbert Lester Jones and Myrtle Woods Jones. Norma attended Oklahoma City schools graduating from Capital Hill High School in 1951. She continued her education at the Southwestern Assembly of God College and the University of Oklahoma. Norma married Duie Jernigan on January 26, 1957 in Oklahoma City. Duie was a Chaplain and was stationed many places. After his military retirement they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma from Springfield, Virginia. Norma was a member of the Woodlake Assembly of God church in Tulsa, and worked as a Real Estate Broker and office manager of the Gordona Duca Realtors. Norma was a wonderful person and full of love for her two children Diane and Danny along with their spouses and children. She also extended that love to her aunts, uncles, and cousins. I for one will miss my cousin Norma very much as she shared a love of knowledge about her ancestors before her. She helped me obtain many of the family documents that we have.
