Catherine Sanders White was born on May 22, 1950 in Spring Hill, WV to Mary Elizabeth Sanders. Her grandparents, Samuel and Azalee Gray, raised her from birth to the age of 12, and while under their care, she came to know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Mother White was a graduate of Dunbar High School (WV), class of 1968. She then furthered her education at West Virginia State college.
She was united in matrimony to Mr. Larry A. White Sr. on Aug 25, 1970. To this union two children were born, Larry A White Jr. and Rosa-Mary White. They raised their family in Tampa FL.
She worked careers in food services for years and later retired as head of security & training with US Air Lines.
She was preceded in death by Samuel and Azalee Gray (grandparents), Mary E Sanders (mother), Larry A White Sr. (husband) and Samuel Hines (brother).
Her last 6 years were spent as a member/Mother of Divine Deliverence Worship Center, where she sat diligently under the leadership of Bishop Michael and First Lady Pamela Joyner. She was a devoted member who actively worked with the Missionaries as well as the Youth Department. Mother White served while recovering from a stroke and battling two forms of cancer, all to show that God is who He says He is, and that she was a living testimony of Bishop Joyner's motto... "The Devil Lied Again!"
Left to cherish her memory are: Son Larry White Jr (Lynn) of Myrtle Beach, SC; Daughter Rosa-Mary White of Myrtle Beach, SC; Grandsons , William Thomas Weaver and Tyler Wade Weaver of Myrtle Beach, SC; three brothers, Wilbur Hines Sr (Nanette) of Cross Lanes, WV, Pontius Hines of Cross Lanes, WV, Chris Hines (Regina) of Cross Lanes, WV; two sisters, Naomi Robinson of Charlotte, NC and Elizabeth Black of Dunbar, WV; a host of nieces and nephews, and her special long time companion Sebastian "Booger" White (dog).

Catherine White of Carolina Forest passed July 31, 2021. There will be a funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Divine Deliverance Worship Center, 1262 HWY 501 Business, Conway. Burial will follow after the service. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Myrtle Beach Chapel will be assisting this family.
