She was born on September 4, 1956, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Robert and Clara Link Horen.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 39 years, Tom McKay; her son, Brian McKay; grandson, Ryan McKay, three sisters, Jan Herring, Pam Horen, and Terry Wilson, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, July 13, 2018, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Pastor Cynthia Keyser will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM Thursday at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society of America 4340 East West Highway Bethesda, MD 20814.
