John C. Robinson, age 96, of Geneseo, passed peacefully Friday, April 15, 2022 at his residence. He was predeceased by his sisters, Patricia Weir and Barbara Forester.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Costello Robinson, children, Jane (Jeff) Cohen of Avon, Laurie (Keith) Andrews of FL, Cindy (Scott) Hicks of Geneseo, Chat (Ked) Robinson of Albany, grandchildren, Regan and Aaron Kenney, Rachel (Tim Paul) Andrews, Michael (Camille) Andrews, Derek (Amber) Hicks, Linsey (Corey) Sims, Morgan and Hanna Robinson, great grandchildren, Olivia Hicks, Bohannon Sims, Adrian Carey, several nieces and nephews.

John was born March 30, 1926 in Great Neck, NY the son of Charles and Ethel Laudenberger Robinson. He was a US World War II Army Air Corps Veteran. John graduated from Andover Boarding School in Andover, Massachusetts and earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Virginia. John was employed as an Investment Banker and retired from the Security Trust Company in Rochester. He was an avid, golfer, fisherman, small planes pilot, skier and one of the original stockholders at Swain Ski Area. John enjoyed watching hockey, spending summers at "Sans Souci", his family camp in the Laurentian Mountains in Quebec, Canada. He was a former member of the Geneseo Fire Department, the Geneseo Rotary Club, Livingston Country Club and the Wadsworth Hose Club.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 5-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. His Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 9:30 AM at the St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Father Sylvester Bioh officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Geneseo Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 428, Geneseo, NY 14454 or the Livingston County Hospice Fund, 2 Murray Hill Dr., Mt. Morris, NY 14510.
