Brenda Mae Moorefield Steele, 80, left this earthly life, Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the Gibson House (Hospice of Rockingham County).
Brenda was born May 9, 1941, in Stokes County, to the late Paul and Frances Hawkins Moorefield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Renee Steele Richardson; grandfather, Tommy Hawkins; and step-grandmother, Agnes Pringle Hawkins.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 62 years, Frederick Steele; a daughter, Mimi Steele Tilley; granddaughters, Tiffany Tilley (fiancé, Cody Smith) and Allison Tilley; and feline cat "Kota".
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Delta United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service (3 to 4 p.m.) and all other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Gibson House, 2150 NC Hwy 65, Reidsville, NC 27320, or Fresenius Dialysis Center, 2837 Horsepen Creek Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410. Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
