BLOUNTVILLE -- Kermit Cecil Hilton, 73, 247 Ellis Road, Blountville, died at 10:20 p.m. Monday (Nov. 25, 1991) at his residence after an extended illness.
A resident of Sullivan County all his life, he retired in 1981 from Mead Corp., after 38 years of service. He was a member of Muddy Creek Baptist Church where he was a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Sarah Christine Hilton.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby Pullon Hilton; four daughters, Mrs. Carl (Annette) Lichlyter, Mrs. Charles (Shelby) Sammons, and Mrs. Lonnie (Louise) Sampson, all of Blountville, and Mrs. Roger (Joyce) Brooks, Gate City, Va.; one son, Harold "Buddy" Hilton, Kingsport; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Parker and Mrs. Pauline Kichlighter, both of Kingsport; two brothers, the Rev. William "Bill" Hilton and Gamaliel Hilton, both of Kingsport.
Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at East Lawn Funeral Home or anytime at the residence.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gene Hammonds and the Rev. Bill Ball officiating.
Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Muddy Creek Baptist Church, c/o George Coffman, Route 1, DeVault Bridge Road, Piney Flats, Tenn.
