Alfred Caiazzo, of Columbia, Maryland died April 17, 2007, due to heart failure, at Frederick Villa Nursing Center in Catonsville. He was 95.

Born Dec. 27, 1911, in Manhattan, to Antonio and Conncetta Caiazzo, he graduated from a New York City high school.

Mr. Caiazzo took pre-med classes at City College in New York City for two years.

He married Lucy Perrotta in 1937.

Mr. Caiazzo worked as a government administrator for the United States Postal Service in Manhattan for 25 years.

He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Lucy Caiazzo; two brothers, Louis Caiazzo and Albert Caiazzo; and two sisters, Anna Morgan and Clara Hebron.

Mr. Caiazzo is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Guy and Carol Caiazzo, of Ellicott City; a sister, Adeline Ferraris, of West Chester County, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Corby and his wife, Alison Caiazzo, of Darlington, Cara and her husband, Ray Holzer, of East Millstone, N.J., and Christie and her husband, Robert Morin, of Laurel; and four great-grandchildren, Derek Caiazzo, Madalyn Caiazzo, Anthony Morin and Stefen Holzer.

Funeral services were held April 23, 2007, at the Church of The Resurrection in Ellicott City. The Rev. Colin Poston presided.

Interment followed at St. John's Episcopal Cemetery in Ellicott City.
