Donald Wayne Babb, devoted family man, Deacon of his church and friend to many, passed away on Monday, May 3rd. Norma, his wife, Luann, his daughter, Lynn, Lee and John, his sons, Russell, his brother, along with their spouses, 11 grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren mourn his passing but rejoice in the legacy he leaves us. Don was born in Asher, Oklahoma on July 12th, 1933 and was raised in Sentinel where he and Norma met. He attended Oklahoma A&M (OSU), 1951 - 1954. Upon leaving school he worked in Sales and Management for several companies, most of his career with Montgomery Wards. Although in recent years health issues restricted his activities, he continued to faithfully serve his church. Don was preceded in death by his father A.R. Babb, mother Kate Ellen, and brothers Joe Frank and James Robert. Services will be held at 2pm Thursday, May 5 at Vondel L. Smith & Sons Mortuary, 6934 S. Western Ave. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Don's name to the In Faith Baptist Church of Norman Building Fund or the American Heart Association.
