Ardmore, AL - Funeral for Billy Ronald Haney, 71, of Ardmore will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Boyles officiating. Burial will be in Hastings Cemetery.
Mr. Haney died Sunday, August 4, 2002, at his home. He was born April 1, 1931, in Limestone County to J. E. Haney and Jessie Dildine Haney. He was a member of the Wooley Springs Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, where he served as an ambulance driver. He was retired from the Steelworkers Union.
Survivors include his wife, Ava Hasting Haney; one son, Mark Haney of Toney; two daughters, Pam Childers of East Limestone and Debra Parker of Hatton; two stepsons, Dell Lewter of Ardmore, TN, and Randall Lewter of Ardmore, AL.; seven brothers, Marion Haney and Hubert Haney, both of Ardmore, Jimmy Haney, Nolan Haney and Cloyd Haney, all of Elkmont, Bob Haney of Athens and Dennis Haney of Huntsville; two sisters, Nadine Atchley of Elkmont and Sherry Blankenship of Ardmore, TN; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
