Charlotte was the wife of Charles Henry Burka, and the daughter of William & Lucinda Etchison-Richardson.
She and Charles lived in Elwood for many years then moved to Gary, Indiana so Charles could work in the Gary Steel Mill. They raised Charlotte's niece Alma Blake-Carter.
