He was born March 11, 1938 in Jefferson, the son of Russell Booth & Mildred Mae (Murdock) Means and has resided in Jefferson all of his life. Ron was married to Judith Ann Isenberg on June 20, 1964 at the Jefferson Methodist Church. He was also a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
Ron retired as a car salesman with Greg Sweet Chevrolet in Conneaut. More than 20 years of his career he served as circulation manager at the Star-Beacon. Ron's enjoyments included hunting locally and going on hunting trips, fishing and was avid Buckeye and Browns fan.
Survivors include his wife, Judith; four daughters, Diane Strang of Geneva, Joan (Dennis) Otto of Jefferson, Candice Means of Harpersfield Twp. & Betsy (Ray) Massena of Jefferson; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Linda) Means of Geneva & Cliff (Virginia) Means of Ashtabula and two sisters, Ethel Hunt of Austinburg Twp. & Doris Hinkle of Jefferson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Louie Gruhlke and brothers, Dale, John & Clyde Means.
