Actor. He was best known as Luis, the Fix-It Shop owner, on the long popular children's series "Sesame Street" from 1971 to 2017. He studied theatre at both Glendale College and CalArts (California Institute of the Arts). In 1968, he made his acting debut on the Emmy Award-winning public broadcasting television program "Cancion De La Raza." Besides "Sesame Street," he went on to appear in such television series as "Cannon," "The Chisholms," "Quincy M.E.," "Lou Grant," "Law & Order," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," and "The Get Down." He also appeared in numerous films, video productions, and series related to the Sesame Street franchise. He also acted in several films and appeared in numerous theatrical productions during his career.
