Fred Ventriglia, age 92 of Trumbull, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 6, 2015. Fred Passed away peacefully in his home in Trumbull which he shared for many years with his late wife, Mary (Ferrullo) Ventriglia. He was born in Bridgeport on July 20, 1923 and was the son of the late Joseph and Theresa Ventriglia. A decorated U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and a recipient of the Purple Heart; Fred was a retired employee of the US Postal Service. Fred will be remembered as a compassionate and generous man who cared very deeply for his family and missed his departed wife very much. He was always ready to help someone in need, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. His survivors include many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 9:00 AM in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport and a Service at 10:00 AM.
