E. Louise Rhodes passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at her home. She was 88.

Louise was born January 1, 1933, to Loduska Marie Smith and William Presfield in Pawnee, Oklahoma.

Louise moved to California and later to Hayden, Colorado. She graduated from Hayden High School in 1951.

Louise married Chalmer Rhodes on September 18, 1952. Louise was a rancher's wife. She was an amazingly talented, affectionate person from caring of animals, skilled gardener, baker, canner, making soap, top notch seamstress.

Louise is survived by 4 daughters: Cathy Rhodes, Grand Junction, Co., Judy Kuberry of Craig, Co., Penny Gossert of Clifton, Co., and Peggy Wallace of Big Timber, MT., eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephew, and best friend Betty.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Chalmer, daughter Susan Burton, granddaughter Marilyn Pifer, and great grandchildren Bridgette Pifer and Chalmer Haight.

On July 9, 2022, the family will be taking her remains to Hayden so she can be laid to rest and are making arrangements to have a Celebration of Life held in Hayden.
