Rhonda M. Lawrence of Newportville passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Chandler Hall surrounded by her loving family following a long battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer. She was 65.
Born in Philadelphia, Rhonda has been a long time resident of Lower Bucks County.
An avid animal lover, Rhonda formerly owned a pet shop and had previously worked as a Veterinary Technician. Growing up, she loved to ride her horse, Sunrise, through the streets of Northeast Philadelphia. Later in life, her beloved Bernese Mountain dogs brought her so much joy.
Rhonda loved gardening and took great pride in her vegetable and flower gardens. She also enjoyed cooking for her family, especially her famous meatballs and mashed potatoes.
The cornerstone of the family, Rhonda was a strong woman both inside and out. She fought valiantly against breast cancer for over 20 years. Words cannot express the strength and resilience Rhonda possessed. She will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was completely dedicated to the ones she loved.
Beloved wife of Michael A. Lawrence for 40 years, Rhonda was the loving mother of Kelly Keene (Ryan), Ryan Lawrence (Lauren), Timothy Lawrence, and Hayleigh Scott (Dillon) and the devoted grandmother of Olivia, Samantha and Emilia Keene, Everett, Alexander and June Lawrence, and Magnolia Scott.
Daughter of Amedeo and the late Gloria Cappella, Rhonda is survived by her brother, Michael Cappella as well as many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
