Kevin Mark Gardner, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the age of 60. He was born July 3, 1961 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Kevin was a member of the Concert Choir in High School. He was also a member of Music Corp. and National Honor Society. In college Kevin was on the Deans List all 4 years. He achieved a 3.9 GPA overall and had a 4.0 GPA in his major (Computer Science). Kevin graduated Summa Cum Laude. He was a member of Alpha Chi Fraternity. He earned Eagle Scout in 1978. He was a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church where he sang in the church choir until he became disabled. Kevin loved to travel, especially to theme parks. He loved scouting and worked with his son in scouts.

After graduating from college, he moved to Shreveport and was employed with Louisiana Bank & Trust. From there he went to work for Ark-la where he worked for several years. He then moved to Little Rock, Arkansas for a short time working for Alltel. He then moved to Huntsville, Texas and worked for Sam Houston State University before moving back to Shreveport working for Bossier Medical Hospital and ended his career at Christus Hospitals where he was IT Programs Manager for Shumpert and several other Christus properties. He met and married Penny Neel in 1984 and they had one son and later went to China and adopted a beautiful 10 month old baby girl.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Colton Gardener and wife Carmen; daughter, Maggie Gardner; his parents, Delman and Patsy Gardner; grandchildren, Gabriel and Rowan Gardner; sister, Sonja Meller and husband, Roland; brother, Dwight Gardner; aunt, Wanda Hicks; one niece; four nephews and numerous cousins and friends.

Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otho and Ruby Harrison and Ellis and Willie Mae Gardner.

A visitation for Kevin will be held Monday, April 4, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 12:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Park.
