Land on which this cemetery is located was purchase in late 2012, by Ty Smith to be used as pasture for beef cattle. He, along with some friends and neighbors cleared brush and debris from the grown-up cemetery. He purchased and erected a decorative metal fence as an enclosure for the cemetery. Cedar crosses were also built and erected for graves without markers.
