Mrs. Janice Ramona Vanover Johnson, 81, resident of Columbia, died Monday, March 28, 2022 at St. Thomas West Hospital.

Born on May 14, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Estes Vanover Sr. and the late Nora Swindall Vanover. On July 6, 1960 she married Elmer Rhea Johnson whom preceded her in death on December 31, 2003. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling in which she participated in a bowling league, loved music and singing. She was a member of Maury Hills Church.

Survivors include her sons, Gary (Karen) Johnson and Jeff (Gail) Johnson; grandson, Joshua Johnson; brother, Charles (Ruby) Vanover; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Magadalene Hensley, Ruby Lee Beverly, Joyce Potter, Arbutus Vanover Mullins and Jackaline Vanover Haase Dutka; brothers. James Ray Vanover, and Clarence Estes Vanover, Jr.
