Over the years, Pat held various jobs which included, Sperry Univac, waitressing, in home daycares, in home CNA and then the Good Samaritan Home in Jackson. Pat then met Ed Harrold and moved to Arizona. They were united in marriage February 13, 1991, in Prescott Valley, Arizona. After their marriage, they remained living in Arizona where Pat was the caregiver for Ed's dad, Walter, until his death. After his death, Pat and Ed moved to Lakefield where Pat worked at the Hilltop Café until becoming a homemaker. Recently, Pat's health had been declining and she was placed in hospice care at Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington where she passed away on Thursday evening, March 24, 2022, at the age of 74 years.
Pat was a Lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary in Jackson and Lakefield and a bloodmobile volunteer. Pat had many enjoyments in life which included spending time with family and friends, listening to music, reading, baking goodies for her husband and watching her favorite TV shows.
Survivors of Pat include her husband of thirty-one years, Edward Harrold of Lakefield; three children, Rick (Velda) Cole of Graettinger, IA; Monica (Tim) Lenz of Lismore; Teresa (Jeremy) Schaaf of Lincoln, NE; five grandchildren, Teresa, Travis, Todd, Abby and Hunter; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Rose (Bill) Bass of Sheldon, IA; Bev (Jeff) Behr of Lehr, ND; Sandy Triggs of Estherville, IA; Cheryl (Jim) Bush of Peterson, IA; half-sisters, Joan Klapp of Malibu, CA; Lorene Roberts of Chandler, AZ; half-brother, Jerry (Judy) Bergeson of Ocean Park, WA; and many nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard; two brothers, Russel and Larry Bergeson; and one grandson, Kendrick Koppen.
