Booneville--Rubye Penna Lawrence died Thursday, July 17,2003, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born Nov. 27,1931, in Prentiss County to the late Dowe and Eron Penna. She was a retired medical records librarian and a homemaker. She was a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. She loved music. She was a church pianist for many years, and she organized and was a member of the Melotones Trio.

Services will be at 11 p.m. Saturday at McMillian Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kara Blackard officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her husband, Dean Lawrence, whom she married May 10,1965; two daugthers, Nan Holder and husband, Jim of Tupelo and Jennifer McHenry and husband, Quinn, of Tupelo.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Ford, Terry Hester, Jim Penna, J.D. Moore, David Long, Sam Herring and Trenton Turvaville.

Visition will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and until service time Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wheeler Grove Baptist Church, 21 CR 519, Corinth Ms. 38834.
