R/B Singer. He was born Samuel Brown. He was one of the original members of the musical group The Intruders. Other members included: Eugene "Bird" Daughtry, Phillip "Phil" Terry and Robert "Big Sonny" Edwards. The group formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1960. They were most popular in the 1960's and 1970's. He was lead vocalist on many of their hits: United, Cowboys To Girls, Love Is Like A Baseball Game and I'll Always Love My Momma. After years of alcohol and drug problems, he committed suicide.
