Gladys was born May 22, 1931 to John and Hattie (Ankrum) Klar in Sandstone, MN.
She was united in marriage to Gilbert Maslonkowski on October 26, 1951 in Hinckley, MN.
Gladys and Gilbert lived in Maplewood and Cottage Grove before moving to Hinckley in 1966.
She worked at Cassidy's, Marudas Red Owl, The Grace Hotel, and Jeffrey's Bakery.
Gladys and Gil enjoyed dancing to old time music. She also enjoyed playing the accordion for dances accompanied by her son, Gary, who played the drums.
She also enjoyed decorating her home, especially for the holidays. Her other interests included flower gardening, making floral arrangements, decorating beautiful cakes, and she loved birds.
Gladys is survived by daughter-in-law Pat Maslonkowski, Children: Gail, Gordon, and Garvin (Lynn).Grandchildren: Craig (Deanne), Travis, Samantha, Sabrina, Jeremy, Jason, Amber (Mike), Renae, Holly (Juan), Quinten (Becca), and Trent. Great Grandchildren: Allizaya, Linnea, Carlo, Christian, Adelina, Cadence, and Kyler. Siblings: Lester (Mona), Delores, Jack(Laura), Bob (Dora), Harvey (Nancy), Tom (Dorothy), and Bev (Pat) Seitz. Also many relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gilbert, parents, John and Hattie, son, Gary, and brother, Marvin.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, March 23rd. The service will be at 11 AM on Thursday, March 24th, with visitation one hour prior. These will all be at Methven Funeral Home. Lunch to follow at the Hinckley Community Center.
