Beverly Jane Smith, the daughter of Randall and Lola Jane (Wagener) Swanson was born on November 17, 1944, at Red Oak, Iowa. She passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 4 days.

Beverly was raised in Red Oak. In 1962, she graduated from Red Oak High School, and attended one year of college at Simpson College. Beverly was united in marriage to Michael Smith on November 9, 1963, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale at Nashua, Iowa. They moved to Omaha, Nebraska, and Beverly began taking night classes at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, earning a degree in chemistry. She worked many years at Clarkson Hospital in the laboratory department. They had made Omaha their home for 31 years before moving to Beaver Lake, Nebraska in 1994. Since 1966, Beverly was an active member of the Bethel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir and participating in the women's groups. Beverly was also an excellent seamstress, avid bird watcher, loved to take walks and enjoyed all types of chocolate. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Thomas, and her brother-in-law, Steve Smith.

Daughters: Shelley (Kirk) Burson and Ellen (Kevin) Dasher
Grandchildren: Kelsey, Kate and Sam
Sisters-in-law: Sherry (Chuck) Davis, Sally Smith-Shehan, and Barb Smith
Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
