Joe England, 83 of New Tazewell, TN (formerly of Gap Creek Road in Cumberland Gap) passed away on April 13,2016, at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Claiborne County on July 19, 1932, the son of the late Lucy Harvey England and George England. He believed in the Baptist faith, was a member of Summeys Bridge Baptist Church and served the Lord as a deacon for many years. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Fate and Lonnie England and two sisters, Nell Earls and Lucy Letsinger.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Betty England; children, Ronnie (Hazel) England, Kathy England, Sharon Chumley and June (Archie) Brown; Grandchildren, Penny (Dale) Long, Alan (Jennifer) Ellison, Amy Shackelford, Jodi (Garry) Chadwell, David Honeycutt, Brad and Casey Wagner; 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday April 18, 2016 at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell with funeral service to follow at 7 P.M. Monday night in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service 1 P.M. Tuesday in the Epperson Cemetery. Ministers: Rev. Jackie Daniels and Rev. Dale Long Singers: Daniels Family Pallbearers: Alan Ellison, David Honeycutt, Dalton Shackleford, Hayden Shackleford, Billy Harrison and Cody Long. Coffey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
