James Daniel Gunn Jr Funeral services for James Daniel Gunn Jr 49 were held yesterday afternoon at the Phillip-Robinson Funeral Home with R C Williams officiating Burial was in Mt Olivet Cemetery Mr Gunn whose home is in Knoxville died unexpectedly in Chicago Sunday afternoon. He was working there as a railroad car checker He was born and educated In Sparta Tenn and was the son of Mrs Eva B Gunn of Nashville and the late Mr Gunn He married the former Miss Willie Cody of Knoxville who survives Mr Gunn was active in the construction business for many years in East Tennessee and more recently had been employed by the railroad He was a member of the Church of Christ In addition to his mother and his wife he is survived by two sisters Mrs Ripps Marabie of Clarksville j Tenn and Mrs Frank Kenning of j Nashville six brothers LeRoy Gunn of Chicago Dr Douglas P Gunn of McMinnville W B Gunn and C N Gunn of Amarillo Texas Rav N Gunn of Borger Texas and Eugene Gunn of Brownsville Texas
