Mrs. Miller was born March 8, 1923, in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Clyde Roscoe Adams and Ida Loyd Adams.
She was a graduate of Cool Springs High School and was a homemaker. She helped with Day Care and was a member of Western Avenue Baptist Church.
On July 11, 1942 she was married to James Lee Miller in Iredell County, who survives.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Miller is survived by one son, Gordon Lee Miller of Mooresville; one daughter, Bridget Carol Miller of Huntersville; one grandson, Ethan Lee Miller of Statesville; one granddaughter, Hannah Joanne Miller of New York; one great-granddaughter, Stella Jane Muir of Troutman; one brother, Charlie Lewis Adams and wife, Versie Lee of Statesville; one sister, Hazel Adams Barkley of Statesville; and numerous friends.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Adams.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, at Western Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Yarbrough and Dr. James Cartin officiating. A private burial will be held before the service at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence of 906 Thomas St. from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening.
The family requests rather than flowers, memorials be made to Hospice of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28677, or to Western Avenue Baptist Church, 1206 Museum Rd., Statesville, NC 28625.
