Saturday Rites Set For 70-year Resident
Funeral services for Press Hullen Adair, 86, of 242 Ida, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Cochran Mortuary. The Rev. C. E. Bainum, pastor of Westview Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Mr. Adair was born May 25, 1871, in Iowa, and moved to Wichita 70 years ago. He died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was employed at the Wichita water plant for 30 years and at First National Bank for five years.
Survivors include his wife, Ida; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Gertrude Nigh, 1528 S. Richmond, and Mrs. Besse Jennings, 1732 S. St. Francis; six stepsons, Elmer W. Sanger, 645 Calhoun Dr., Melvin H. Sanger, Portland, Ore., John W. Knoffloch, 1128 S. Richmond, and Paul H., Henry B. and James Knoffloch, 1015 Ellis; a sister,. Mrs. Amy Schaffer, Richland, Neb.; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
