April Marie Fischer, 40 of Sterling, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 14, 2022, surrounded by her family, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.

April was born on January 24, 1982 in Sterling, the daughter of Richard and Patricia (Hittlet) Celestino. She married Ryan Fischer on June 6, 2009 in Rock Falls. April was employed with CGH Medical Center for the past 10 years, beginning as a Registered Nurse at the hospital to then becoming a Nurse Practitioner at the Prophetstown clinic. She touched many lives through nursing, including the patients she cared for and her coworkers. She was a friend to many, life of the party, and anyone that knew her, loved her. April enjoyed riding bicycles, going to rummage sales, going to the casino, and playing board games. Most of all, April loved her family. She was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister, and aunt, and cherished her time spent with her nieces and nephews.
