Amber Rose had a spirit that could not be contained. She spread love and joy everywhere she went and befriended everyone from every circle of life. From childhood, Amber could never sit still — constantly dancing, singing, and crafting, she was unstoppable. Her creativity and love of fun knew no bounds. It should be noted that Amber carried on her grandmother's love of arts and crafts. Everything in her home was either made by or altered by her own two hands. Amber never stopped dreaming. She was a well of ideas, which she never hesitated to share if it meant making someone else's smile bigger, day brighter, or life better.
Amber Rose was preceded in death by her grandmother, Hakika Barricelli. She is survived by her fiancé Taylor Thomas, and a host of family members, including her loving siblings Josh, Jennifer, Nae, Jared, Stephen, Hannah, Joe, Luke, William, Claire, and Bethany Powell. She is also survived by her beloved cat, Juniper, and her many friends, who she considered family.
A special thanks to the friends who visited her in the hospital, the kind souls who contributed to her burial fund, and the wonderful doctors and nurses who tended to her in her final days.
Please join us for the burial and funeral service at Riverview Cemetery (1701 Chesapeake St, Charlottesville, VA) on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 2pm. Then join us again at Pen Park (1300 Pen Park Rd, Charlottesville, VA) immediately following the burial, at approximately 3:30pm, for the memorial service. Since Amber loved the bright, colorful blooms of Spring, "Spring Dressy Casual" attire is welcome. All are invited to join in this celebration of Amber Rose's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you continue to take care of every living thing and to spread love to everyone around you. Contributions in memory of Amber Rose can be made to your local animal shelter or your favorite environmental protection charity.
