He knew one day he would get to see two of his children, his mom, and dad again in heaven, as well as his brothers and sisters who went before him.
John married Ruth Ann (Easley) 60 + years ago at the age of 20. They had 6 children together.
He was a jack of all trades. He could fix your car, sell your car, (sell you a car) or just build you a house. He was always in the middle of home projects, building, rebuilding, or replacing one thing or another. But of course, his favorite thing was cooking and he loved to tell you how to do it if you were cooking. Let's not forget his love for fruits, vegetables, and candy.
John was an avid storyteller. He always had a good one to tell and told them until his last day. He could light up your face just by walking in the room. He would help you with what you needed and was great at supervising and teaching as he grew older. He was loved by many!
John is preceded in death by his parents Ruth Delena (Turnbull) and Dewey George Roberts. three sisters and four brothers, two children; Kenneth Charles Roberts Sr. and Angela Lynn Roberts.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann (Easily) and four children; Brenda Denise Roberts, Pamela Marie (Richard) Engh, Maurice John Roberts Jr., and Amy Dawn (Robert) Pettit; 15 grandchildren, Kenneth Charles Roberts II (Juanita), Tracy Lee (Ryan) Grimm, Jeffery Roberts, Johnathen Vishino, Dillon Ray Roberts, Paul Raymond Brown Jr.(Casey), Andrew Allen Brown (Sarah), Matthew John Brown, Sarah Jane (Ronald) Brown, Maurice John Roberts III, Jennifer Lynn Roberts, Tiffany Ann Griggs, Devin Allan Pettit, Ryan Andrew Pettit, Felecity Marie Pettit, and 31 great-grandchildren, two brothers and a sister, many nieces, and nephews.
John will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is now at peace, enjoying life in heaven.
