Laura Erslene Young Brown age 79 of Henegar died Monday, March 14 surrounded by family and friends. Funeral services are Wednesday at 2 PM CT at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Brad Talley and Sis. Renee Goss officiating. Burial will follow in Biddle Cemetery.
Survivors include children, Sheila (Steve) Pittman(Steve), Dale Brown, David (Sheila) Brown, Elaine (Brock) Bell, grandchildren, Kevin (Jennifer) Poole, Rusty (Beth) Brown, Natalie Cox, Timothy Bell, great-grandchildren, Haleigh, Anissa, Addison, Jaiden, Shianne, Skye, Jackson and Lukas.
Mrs. Brown was know as the "Neighborhood Mom" by many children. She was a strict, but loving mother to her children. Cooking, sewing, quilting and sharing with families in her community during their time of need was a trait well lived.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Lou Emmer Chapman Young, husband, Thomas Brown, choosen son, Ray Shrader, sisters, Willene York, Eulala Pangle, Luerana Harris brothers, Leon, Eugene and Levoy Young.
