Claud Nelson of Cadillac died Saturday 14 Sep 1940 at the age of 16 y 7 m 13 d at his home from a Hemorrhage to the lung and liver due to accidental gunshot wound. He was accidentally shot when a gun discharged in the hands of a young companion at his home. (According to the Wexford County Clerk in Cadillac Death Record 6126.) Survivors included his parents; sisters; and brothers.
Burial was in Section 4, Plot 15 in Cherry Grove Township Cemetery in Cadillac.
