Mildred Miller, age 96, formerly of Mattoon, passed away at 1:55 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the Evergreen Nursing Home in Effingham.
Mildred was born on March 23, 1925 in Chicago the daughter of Stephen and Dorothy (Zovodny) Moravcik. She married Maurice Miller on January 14, 1966. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1973.
In addition to her husband, Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Anne Minor; and brothers Stephan, Michael, John, and Martin.
Millie was a caring aunt, who always remembered birthdays and holidays with cards. She loved cats and cherished her family. She was a life long Lutheran. Millie will be missed by all those who knew her.
Graveside services honoring her life will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Saint John's Lutheran Cemetery in Effingham with Rev. Mike Burdick officiating.
