Kevin Charles Barton, 58, of Albuquerque, NM, died unexpectedly after being involved in a fatal car crash by a drunk driver. His family and friends are shocked and deeply saddened.

Kevin, born to Raymond and Kathleen Barton in Albuquerque, NM, was a 1981 graduate of Gallup High School, Gallup, NM, and attended college at NAU (Flagstaff, AZ) and ASU (Tempe, AZ). He was passionate about sports, his family, and bringing joy to anyone he encountered.

Kevin worked with the Bureau of Indian Affairs and was newly promoted to Supply Management Officer with the Division of Property-OFPSM. He had been with the BIA for 31 years, was recently given an outstanding rating performance, and was looking forward to retirement in April 2022.

Kevin also was very involved in the sports world. He was a part of a men's fastpitch team, the Albuquerque Sun Devils in which he coached and played them to many victories. He was the life of the party and always full of jokes and laughter. He had an immense passion for his children and was always a source of positivity, mentorship, and discipline. Kevin's greatest accomplishment he recognized was as a single father raising and seeing both his daughters graduate high school.
