Maysville – James Robert "Jim" Myers, Sr., 71, of Maysville, passed away Friday March 11, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospital.
James was born September 22, 1950 in Maysville, KY to the late James Z. and Bessie Burdick Myers. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, and served his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna Nicodemus Myers of Maysville; his children, James R. (Michelle Bess) Myers, Jr., Angela Myers, and Christopher Jason (Elisha) Myers; his siblings, Joyce Irwin, Bill Myers, and Karen Haywood; his grandchildren, James R. Myers, III, Courtney Kirk, Jedediah Daulton Myers, Kelsie Freeman, Amanda Pollitt, Briana Myers, Gabriela Myers, and Brookelyn Myers; great-grandchildren, Layla Myers, Oliver and Olivia Yates, Raelyn Myers, Stella Jo Myers, Thatcher Gifford, Jedsen Myers, and Lucille Freeman (on the way); and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for James Myers will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2022 at Brell & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Justin Clemins officiating. Interment will follow in Maysville Mason County Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Monday.
